Antonio R. Henderson - Founder/CEO

For more than 30 years Antonio Henderson, a highly exemplified visionary, has consistently influenced ‘ordinary people’ into accomplishing ‘extraordinary achievements and successes’;  stimulating hope in the most adverse situations.

As a visionary, Mr. Henderson was a member of the Dallas Boys Club from the age of 6 to 11.  At the age of 11, Mr. Henderson choose to no-longer play in the Classic Youth Soccer League of North Dallas in exchange to play for the ‘Stars II’ of the Oak Cliff Family YMCA Dallas. Mr. Henderson further led himself and other underserved youth to five unprecedented, undefeated seasons and consecutive championships.

Mr. Henderson learned the relevance of education and the importance of effectively educating youth in order to build a better community. He soon realized the value of receiving a quality education in concert with obtaining consequential decision-making skills. Mr. Henderson successfully graduated from Bishop Dunne High School-Dallas, Texas in May, 1987. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps- in the Quality Enlisted Program. His Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) was Supply Administration.  He graduated at the top of his class and was assigned to the SASSY Management Unit (Headquarters) in Okinawa, Japan.

Mr. Henderson was personally recruited by the Director of the Marine Guard Security School in Quantico, VA. He graduated in the top 5% of his class.  He served a tour of duty at the Embassy in Moscow, Russia. Mr. Henderson also served a tour of duty at American Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. While engaged in military duties, Mr. Henderson diligently pursued his college education with the University of Maryland-College Park program.  In 1993, he was accredited with a Bachelor of Science degree in the discipline of Logistics, Transportation and Supply.

From 1993 to1998, Mr. Henderson worked with Tucker-Rocky, Budweiser, Pro Source International and Brinker International developing various innovative consequential decision-making skills programs.

Mr. Henderson has also accrued more than 10,000 verifiable hours of criminal justice  – expert hours satisfying the mastery of doctrine, principles, applications and practices. He also accrued more than 10,000 verifiable hours on the causation of disadvantaged youth. Mr. Henderson further accrued more than 10,000 verifiable hours studying measureable solutions to remedy the conditions of the underserved youth in our society. On July 18, 2008, Mr. Henderson founded Building Minds for the Future, Inc. in Texas. He realized the need for this mission upon understanding - one of the primary causations for economical instability is the lack of empowering youth with consequential decision-making skills.

On November 09, 2008, Mr. Henderson was shot 4 times with a .45 caliber handgun, while coming back from an invite announcing the new organization and its mission in Wylie, Texas. His vision is to empower underserved youth coast-to-coast with the critical thinking and consequential decision-making skills that will be needed to stabilize our economy and grow the future of our capitalistic American economy - by adopting and supporting proven programs of measurability and accountability effecting bottom-line results.
